INTRAUTERINE INSEMINATION (IUI) REQUISITES: HOW IS THE SPERM FOR INSEMINATION SELECTED? WHAT WILL I GO THROUGH DURING THE PROCESS? 1. Induction: the use of medicine to stimulate the growth of follicles in the ovaries as well as thicken the inner layer of the uterus (endometrium). 2. Follicular Follow-up: the performance of ultrasound scans on days 2 or 3, and 9 or 10 of the period in order to measure the ovarian follicles, adjust the dosages and determine the date and time of insemination. These are only two appointments. 3. Collection and Processing of the sperm sample: the collection of the sperm sample and subsequent processing. At this point the male partner must have, ideally, 3 to 5 days of sexual abstinence. Our new Double Gradient technique (we are the only ones able to offer it in Costa Rica and Panama) allows us to offer the best technology to process the sample and thus obtain excellent results. 4. Insemination: the placement of the processed semen inside the uterine cavity through a special catheter under ultrasonographic guide. 5. Waiting Period: the 14 days following the procedure after which a pregnancy test (blood test) is to be performed. WHAT IS THE SUCCESS RATE WHEN EMPLOYING THESE TECHNIQUES? WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IS AFTER ATTEMPTING 3 CYCLES PREGNANCY HAS NOT BEEN ACHIEVED? Prices: Special cases (if required):
