At our offices in Costa Rica - located at the CIMA hospital in San Jose and at the Santa Rita Clinic - we conduct artificial insemination and gamete transfer (GIFT) and at our office in Panama - Paitilla Medical Center in Panama City - we offer In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and IntraCytoplasmic Sperm Injection ( ICSI ).
Our International Program of In Vitro Fertilization is the biggest and most successful in Central America, with 457 cycle (cases) in the year 2007, with patients hailing from Costa Rica, Florida (USA), Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela and Panama. All 298 pregnancies - obtained just in 2007 - set our global percentage for IVF Panama that year at 65%.
Our laboratories of Assisted Reproduction are equipped in compliance with the guidelines of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine with Sperm Banks and Frozen Ova in both countries. In Costa Rica we conducted 731 cycles (cases) of intrauterine insemination and 47 of GIFT in 2007, therefore making it the largest national reproductive program. Of every 10 patients that come to us 9 achieve pregnancy within the first 4 attempts.
