At Centro Fecundar Costa Rica - Panama, founded by doctors Ariel Pérez and Raúl Berbey we are certified specialists in Reproductive Medicine, properly recognized by the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Costa Rica's Medical College and Panama's Heath Ministry. We have almost ten years of experience during which, when results from both countries are put together, we have brought over 2000 babies to the world.
In our offices in San José, Costa Rica, located at Cima Hospital San José and Avenida Escazú, we conduct artificial insemination and gamete transfer (GIFT) respectively, and in our office in Paitilla Medical Center in Panama City, we also treat cases of in vitro fertilization and intracitoplasmic sperm injection.
Our In Vitro Fertilization Program is the biggest and most successful in Central America, with 522 cycles (cases) in the year 2010, with patients hailing mainly from Panama, Costa Rica, however we have also received cases from and Florida (USA), El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Antilles and Venezuela. The 293 pregnancies obtained just in 2010, set our global rate at 56%.
Our Assisted Reproduction laboratories are equipped in compliance with the guidelines of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine with Sperm Banks and Frozen Ovum in both countries. In Costa Rica we conduct intrauterine insemination and GIFT proceedures with extreme precession which is why 9 out of 10 of our patients get pregnant within the first four attempts. Our In Vitro costs are $3500, GIFT $3000 and Insemination costs $350 which are completely accessible.
Conscious that we live in a changing world, we apply the latest developments in reproductive medicine (ICSI, embryo hatching, embryo glue, blastocyst, intrauterine insemination with gradients, etc.) and include them as standard in our techniques to improve results. In Vitro Fertilization Panama offers both freezing of spare embryos and the technique of 4 (four eggs to fertilize and transfer all fertilized in 99% cases 2 to 3 embryos = 1 to 2 babies), you can decide.
